p.s.: uh, I ride a barebones hardtail chopper with a built engine. For some reason, gas mileage is not of great concern to me...lol

Well, I honestly have no idea what my mileage is. No gas gage, no speedo or tach...

Supposedly, I have a 4.2 gallon tank, and a Pingel petcock, that leaves about 1 gallon in the tank when I hit reserve. Normally fill up when that happens. Usually takes 3.0 +/- to fill it. 1-1/2 trips to work (35 miles each way) and I'm gettin' into reserve territory on the last leg. Generally look at my fuel filter when I start the bike for the last leg. I got a glass filter and if its low, it shows there. Almost all of that is 80+/- mph ridin'...

Since I ain't been ridin' it to work and its all street (Stop 'n go) All I can do is open the cap and look to see roughly how much fuel is in there...

Out on the road, when it hits reserve, I start huntin' a gas station. No idea how many miles I've actually gone...

Most of time he was averaging about 43 mpg.

Yeah, got the engine back thursday, yesterday after work pulled the oil tank and flushed it out to perfectly clean, ( I HATE WRAPAROUND OIL TANKS, LOL) Had to run here and there for a few parts, HD dealer didnt have most of what I needed. (actually, they didnt have anything I needed) so went to an aftermarket store, auto parts, etc.
Got the engine in the frame this morning, fixing to go back out and bolt it down, start putting stuff back on, might fire it this afternoon. Indy honed the cylinders, put in new rings, balanced everything again. The problem with the seal was what I thought, the flywheels were out, 4 thousandths on the left, 4 on the right. I should be ready to go by tonight.
re: me turning demcrat: I am gonna leave that one completely alone, but any answer I gave you would have something to do with the devil getting his tongue stuck to a steel pipe in hell cause of a drastic temperature change. LOL

Hey now,   LOL---  I aint got all that fancy junk.    No GPS, no hand warmers,  no heater..  WOuld like to have a CD --  mines just AM-FM cassette.  Cassettes suck.  I just listen to the radio.  Do have lowers I put them on last week.  They help alot in cold weather.  The Ultra's have alot more fancier accessories than the Electra's like mine.  Shoot,  my bike is a 99.. right at 10 yrs old.

oh, yeah, that makes me feel a LOT better, since you ride a LANDBARGE.
make sure you turn the radio and your GPS on, set your lower louvers to blow the warm air on your legs, and hope your battery holds out running your electric handgrips and seat warmer.

JUST HAVING FUN....
