| Yeah, I read about Gordons mishaps online yesturday... He just can't seem to pull out a victory. Hittin the wall will usually foil any drivers possibilites of winning more times than not, LOL!

Yeah, the race was pretty decent...
I missed the first 50 or 75 laps...
Jr. had a tire let go early too. Tore the shit out of his car. Finished about 45 lap down...
Edwards had some ignition issues and finished down about 15 or 16 laps...
I was surprised that Gordon didn't have a better finish. He hit the wall a couple of times early, was down a lap and managed to get it back. Even led awhile. He was runnin' out of sync with the rest on pit stops. Almost pulled it off...

I'll bet NASCAR officals have had serious words with them.

Train racing is a blast to watch!!!
3-cars chained together.
First car has a driver and running gear, but no brakes. It pulls the "train"
Second car is empty, no driver or drive train
Third car has a "Driver" in it. No engine, this is the only car in the "train" with brakes...
They do this on a Figure-8 track...
Its a blast to watch, you think Figure-8 racing is an accident waiting to happen, you should see this!! LMAO!!

Shit, I ain't even been to the local oval in a couple of years now. Let alone a big event...
Got spoiled rotten with the local track when we were racing. Rich sold the car and is lookin' at a spec truck. But, he's got a couple of kids and one is goin' to college next year...
I always got to watch the race from the side of the track right in the middle of the back stretch. Bitchin' spot to watch a race on a 1/2-mile! Comin' out of 2 and goin' into 3...
It don't get much better than that!
Saw the sign on the way home from work yesterday, the local track is doin' a "train-race" sometime this month. Didn't catch the date. I gotta hit their website and check it out...

I think the last Nascar race I went to was Darlington in 2003.. It was the last Labor Day Darlington 500 that began in 1950. Terry LaBonte won the race as I recall.

| There was like 56 lead changes... Amazing action-- so easy to pass. Was a fun race to watch for sure! Had to be disappointing for Gordon just riding along and the car to the rights tire blows and take him out. SImilar tire blowing issues for alot of others to. Weak side walls or rough surface??

Looks like virtually none of the big name Drivers are in the top starting positions for todays Talledega Super Speedway chase race.... Good I'd rather see an underdog win anyway.. Somebody thats never had a Sprint Cup Victory.
http://www.nascar.com/races/cup/2008/30/data/lineup.html Wow what carnage.... with only 15 laps still left the race is under its 2nd red flag. I would of picked Dale Jr the way was running to win it... Now with only about 8 drivers left its anybodys race........ Smoke wins... too bad.. LOL!

Anyone else watch the race yesterday?
Busch blew it early and got spun. Brought it on himself when he was outside of Jr and came down on him. Jr had the spot and Kyle couldn't get it. Ended up spinning sliding up the track into the wall backwards. Sorta funny to watch after the race there earlier this year when he was under Jr and got loose and put Jr into a spin and backwards into the wall. Same track even...LOL
Busch got spun one other time to. But, they didn't spend much time at all talkin' about it.
Hard racing all the way to the end. Johnson won.
Regular season is over. Into the Chase now. Should be a good Chase. Busch, Johnson, Gordon, Stewart, Jr., Burton, Edwards, etc...

I'm actually surprised they didn't take any points or a $10,000.00 fine this time. But, 6 race probation? That sucks. Probably put the both of 'em on "Good Behavior" and take some of the fun out of it. Especially going into the "Chase" in a couple weeks...
Busch, Edwards placed on probation for Bristol antics
By NASCAR.COM

12:07 PM EDT
NASCAR announced on Wednesday that it has placed Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards on probation for the next six races in the Sprint Cup Series, as a result of their on-track incident Saturday night at the conclusion of the race at Bristol.
Busch and Edwards violated Section 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing; hitting another competitor's car after the race had concluded) of the 2008 NASCAR rule book.
The probation takes effect beginning with this weekend's event at Fontana, Calif.
Executing an adroit bump and run on Lap 470, Edwards passed for the lead and pulled away over the final 30 laps, winning by 1.969 seconds over Busch.
"It's one of those deals where I couldn't get by him, I couldn't get by him, and I just had to ask myself, 'Would he do that to me?' Edwards said after doing his trademark backflip off the car in Victory Lane. "And he has before, so that's the way it goes.''
Unhappy with the way Edwards passed him for the lead, Busch bumped Edwards' No. 99 Ford after the checkered flag. Edwards bumped back, and Busch's No. 18 Toyota went spinning (watch video).
"He'll always come back and say he's sorry," Busch said. "He did it at Milwaukee and he's done it a few other times. It's just his normal fashion. That's fine. I've grown to know that now.
"You know, to pass a guy, to hit him getting into the corners ... is very tired. But that's what he did. ... I had been getting into the corner light all day, and I don't know, maybe I over-braked and drove myself right back into his nose."
NASCAR summoned Busch to the sanctioning body's transporter after the race.
"Let's make it real clear -- I'm not apologizing for it," Edwards said, citing several instances where he felt like Busch took him out of races to gain positions. "We're even.
"They keep talking about rivalries,'' Edwards added. "We might have one now.''
