If you run out of fuel, odds are you are gonna burn up a fuel pump.Ouch...A double whamy...

Once the batteries in the Prius get below 60% charge they must be replaced! This could happen if the controller screws up or if the driver bypasses the limit.

The old Geo 3 cylinder cars get 45 MPG, they are still running too.
Saw a news article here awhile back about the Geo Metro. Some guy was sellin' 'em on eBay and getting between $4000 and $7000 for 'em...

Shitty little cracker-box. But, they were great on gas...

Getting around 19 MPG around town with it and the OL is happy with it. Gas hit $4.10 for 87 octane here this morning. Cost me $22.00 to fill up my Electra Glide on the way to work. $4.23 for 93 premium...........Bastards....I thought about tradin' my pickup in, but I need the pickup every once in a while.  I have been thinking about leasing a hybrid.  I work with someone that bought a hybrid last year and when I asked him about how much it's gonna cost to replace all them batteries in about 5 years, his jaw just dropped.

Around here some of the older SUV's are being driven to the scrap iron buyer! They take the tires and wheels off and take whatever they get per ton.

Got $5500 out of the Tahoe weasle, its was a 2003 4X4 with 89K. Not to bad considering that big SUV prices are in the shitter around here. Plus I had to get the OL in to something smaller because she was taking the girls little cars to run around town with because of the gas prices and with summer vacation starting today I couldn't take the pissing , moaning and whining around the house about it..........Quiet is a wonderful thing.

Plus the OL is happy with her little SUV, it's got all the creature comforts the Tahoe had plus a sunroof...........

A friend of mine has oil heat and he has some sort of plan where you can lock in your oil price per gallon several months in advance...My son and D-I-L are on something like that in KC. They pay a set price all year long for heat and air conditioning. But, the way I understand it, if they're late on paying the bill, they have pay regular price, (retroactively) for the year...

Paid $4.29 for 91 octane yesterday. Cost me damn near $14.00 to fill the tank on the bike...
