Damn...
The Lake cut its own way to the river. That "gully" you see never used to be there.
Yeah, water is gonna run how it wants. Not necessarily the way we (humans) want it to.

Still pretty wild!

We are pretty safe here...but we dont need any more rain...
I remember a Bill Cosby stand up routine from the 70's where he was supposedly in Moses' place talking to the allmighty, whereas the allmighty answered the question 'why?' with "How long can you tread water?"

Be careful up there, water can do some nasty things.

Yeah..we are keeping our eyes open. We have had springs popping up all over the property..The water table is extremely high this year. Crops arre taking a beating..the ones that got in anyways. The river is not all that far from us..but we are on higher ground.
I couldn't believe the floods in Iowa on the news today and killer tornado's... the weather has gone haywire.    Speaking of crops there is very little planted here as well.   Gonna be a shortage of corn, wheat and beans if this keeps up!

They had a segment on the news yesterday about weather related deaths...Heat is by far and away the biggest weather related killer...It is also the most preventable...We just do not think about it...
