| Supposed to be 58 and cloudy here today. Rained on and off most of the week. Next week is supposed to be more of the same. I guess we're finally getting something close to winter...

My wife said we havent had rain since late September here. Already all kinds of fire prevention restrictions in place. In the county, no out door fires (gas grill is ok, no outdoor smoking (ok on your property), etc.
BUT it was frickin' 50 degrees this morning and no cold fingers on the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So nice I even left the new truck at home.

Landslide Damages Water Main In Azusa
Rain Tapers Off, Hovers In Forecast
LOS ANGELES -- Heavy rain led to the cave-in Tuesday of part of a parking lot at the Northrop Grumman facility in Azusa, but no one was hurt, police said.
The problem was reported after daybreak in the 1000 block of West Fourth Street, according to the Azusa Police Department. Martin Quiroz of the city of Azusa said a water main was damaged when the landslide occurred.
"The hillside became oversaturated," Quiroz said. "There's a 12-inch water main running on that hillside. When the slide slipped, there was no physical support for that water main, so it cracked in half, and we lost approximately 100 inches of water main."
Water service was not affected, he said.
Officials were monitoring the area to determine if it is safe.

No kidding. I'm pretty lucky there. I'm on high ground. But, I don't think I'm close enough to get into any of that.
They mentioned the rain numbers we finished last year with, 37.98"...

weasle wrote: speakin of windshields , any body know of a way to get them damned swirrls out of them , tried all kinds of polish ( ect) no luck . gettin hard to see through with oncoming head lights at night. may have to get a new one, thought theyd last longer than 16 yrs . LOL Hey Weas.. I just use armorall, it's great for taking off bugs and crap and it won't scratch and it might even cover up those swirl marks.. worth a try it's cheap. Just be sure and use a real soft rag.

Abo - I use a windshield as more of a deflector than anything. Set it just about neck high, pushes everything over the top of my helmet. Wind, rocks, rain, bugs, etc...
I've always gotten more glare out of windshields than I care for. Combined with any scratches, makes for a rotten POS to look through. That's why I set 'em up to look over...
Jeff - If you're takin' pictures, get a shot or two of the mounts. I don't have a lot of room on drag bars. If they're nice and narrow, I might be able to use it... Thanks
