Well,  my bud just called me this morning and said, " I made good time ridin from NE Ohio yesturday until I got hit North Cincinnatti last nite. Hit snow and sleet from there on into Indiana."  It never got above 40 and he rode 400 miles yesturday.  He went on to add a guy- he works calls his ride- a Jeep instead of a bike.  LOL

My buddy is hard core..  He's ridin' his scoot down from NE Ohio to South Indiana today.  Its about 400 miles and then he'll go  back to up there to work Monday.  He's 54 yrs old, and  has a nice ride an 04 Screamin Eagle- that'll help break the wind. LoL.. was snowing here while a ago. ;)

This week has been a bitch with the weather...

Been on the bike this week. (Gonna do the clutch in my truck Sunday, we're racin' Saturday) Temps have been in the low 40s/high 30s. Wear a couple of jackets and thermals when I leave here. (I don't own a set of leathers or chaps)

Yesterday, temp topped out in the mid-70s, same for today, weather-guessers are sayin' 75F. It's 53F out there right now. No thermals today... :D

LOL... Thanks for the offer Abo.

I don't have any problem doing the work. Just not really set up to do it here at home. I'd be workin' in the street.

Not my first choice for a place to pull a transmission...

I'm willin' to bet, that all I get are estimates in the $500.00 range too. Enough to motivate me to work on it where I can. I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay someone else that much money to do what I can do.

Kragen auto only wants about $180.00 for all the parts (pressure place, clutch, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing and flywheel)

Know about that situation...   My son has a 94 Ford Ranger.. it had to have a clutch last summer.  I didn't have time to mess with it- $500. was what every mechanic I checked with wanted.  So that's what it cost me..

It's about 40F here this morning, and sorta drizzly, rainy, crappy out there.

I'll be on the bike all week though. Clutch is out on my truck and I don't have a decent place to pull the transmission. So, I'm gonna have to find someone that will do it for a reasonable cost. LOL.. Yeah, good luck on that one.

I may be doing it on the street beside my house next weekend...(If it don't rain)
