We sure have had alot of nice ridin' weather around here this month.   Highs in the upper 80's and some 90's all month long..   only about a month of Summer left unfortunately,  although I like Fall, then suddenly comes Winter all too quickly.

Zippo should be swelterin' this week...

Ya'all be careful back there. Lot's of liquids. Stay out of the heat if ya can.
We have pretty mild temps goin' on now. (Supposed to be 85 today) Only thing that stuck around was the humidity...
We were a couple of weeks ago.  Now it looks like Seattle here, fricking rained all day.  We now have passed the average rainfall to date.  The average to date is 4.6 inches and we are over 5 now.  It has cooled off a bit and its a good thing, because this humidity makes swamp coolers ineffective.
Now you're just bragging.  We now have areas here that are in stage 4 water rationing (no outside watering allowed at all)
Ain't that the shits?  Maybe your area will be like ours.  Up until a few weeks ago, I swear I couldn't remember a rain since last fall, now it rains every day, and not the typical monsoon rain that last 15 minutes either.  Is Plano a suberb of big D?
Going straight north of Dallas, Plano more or less covers the north end.  I can handle the heat, I just hate this dry stuff.

When I bought the house, it had a small (way too small) unit that someone cut a hole in the wall and
stuffed it through.
The house only has 60 Amp service. Run that AC and just about anything else and blow a breaker.
I dumped the AC and got a swamp cooler (Evaporative cooler) and it worked great for a couple of years.
Then it got way too humid here for the swamp cooler. We've been runnin' it dry for about 5 years now.

Now, all I got is a bunch of fans runnin' 24-7.
Wow,  I didn't know they made them that small.  I guess it probably helps keep the electric bill down, eh?

Dave:

Too bad about the swamp coller.  I love the dame thing because it puts humidity in the house.  Actually there are 3 times when I wish we had AC, first in the spring when ya gotta spend a couple of hours and 2 trips to the hardware to get it up and running.  Second is the 3 weekws of monsoons that keep the humdity up so it doesn't work real wll and third th hour in the fall to winterize it.

Actually one and three anen'r bad at all if the unit is on the ground or if ya have a flat roof, but ours is on a steep pitched metal roof.  I have solved most of the problem though, I just told the OL I was afraid of being on the roof, so she goes up and does it!.  Flat roos and low pitch roofs are ok, but not a 6/12.
