nope not wrong, just the way you folks do it. We use grape juice, and, in Biker Church that is even more important, I got a lot of dry drunks, one little cup of wine and the ladder off the wagon just appeared. lol

He fed the multitudes with fish, no wine, and yes, He did turn the water to wine, but except for that place in John where they were eating and "dipping bread in the bowl" (which would have probably had wine in it, but not wine like what we have today, theirs was just grape juice that turned due to no refrigeration) He never drank any that we know about from Scripture.

and, you are correct, smoked eel is NOT appetizing. Not that I would know, but I think it might taste the same as if you smoked the tongue out of your old riding boots. lol

made you hungary? I thought you was from Jersey? (sorry couldn't resist that one)

weasle, I have had lots of smoked food, turkey, hamhocks, salmon, (lox), smoked oysters, I just do not like smoked eel, and have never had nor heard of smoked catfish. There is a cheese here that is smoked, I cannot remember the name of it, all I remember is it is very smooth textured, and has a brownish rind on it.
(and I knowed you was kidding about the bud.)

someone got me a bottle of a local wine from where I am from in NY, you cannot get it here, it is still sealed, I have not decided yet if I can have a glass of it occasionally. Bible says, quote, "a little wine is good for the stomach" but unfortunately, Southern Baptists have added a drink of wine to the list of unforgivable sins.lol

never heard of smoked catfish weasle, do you do that the same way they smoke eels in NY State? (used to live near the Delaware River, they set up these "eel traps" in the spring, get hundreds of them, and smoke them. I ate one ONCE, that was enough for me, even with a keg of Bud on tap) lol

you would think with catfish being one of the 5 food groups down here in the southland, someone woulda mentioned smoking one.

then again, here in tobacco country, maybe they don't cause they are hard to keep lit?
