Barely turns the motor. Like I said it isnt old & turns fine out of the bike. I got it apart now & all the visible wireing looks ok.

BTW the bike kicks easy (for an ironhead ;) )

do you mean the starter barley turns, or the starter barley turns the motor over ?? if you have the starter out of the bike and its doing that , id guess berrings , the ones the armature turns on or rides on, inside the  starter housing.

Barely turns. Isnt very old. Not battery because I directly hooked a new one to the starter. Took it apart & oil was inside, cleaned it up with electrical cleaner & still the same problem. Could the oil have harmed it?
