Hey:
Mom came through with flying colors. They put a pin in her hip, she will be up and about tomorrow so they say, then to rehab for awhile, and back to the rest home. (where, she has decided is a nice place, she likes it, and wants to go back there)
Thanks for the prayers and the kind thoughts,
God bless,
the Preacher

Jeffy:
Actually, I was not speaking of you, but, if it makes you feel better to think so, have at it...rofl.

Just got back from 2nd trip to Mom's house to finish cleaning it out, got it done just in time to go to the hospital and visit her, she fell Wednesday and broke her hip. Surgery today, they say she is gonna be fine. I believe them. She is 90, but strong as an ox and vitals are all right on the money.

Preacher, I've been dealing with this indy for a long time. Same one that rebuilt my trans last summer. He's always been a stand-up guy as far as I'm concerned. I always recommend him/his shop to anyone lookin' for a good deal...

The wrench that built my engine is an older Asian guy they call "Coach". He's sharp and does good work.

The guy that built my engine normally works on Shovels. He has built several Evos though too...

Well, Weasle was right. Spacer in the front rocker-box was warped. He resurfaced it and no more leak there.

On the rear, it was a pushrod tube that hadn't seated right. I woulda swore it was comin' out of the rockerbox...

Anyway, no more leaks and it's home runnin' great!!

Supposed to be...

I took it in Tuesday and they said they'd have it ready Wednesday morning. Well, I screwed up and told 'em I wouldn't be able to pick it up until Thursday afternoon....

So, I called 'em yesterday (Thursday) about 2:00 pm and they had just gotten it on the lift. WTF? Well, I told 'em it would be there a couple of days, my bad. Anyway, they said it would be ready between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. I called 'em at 4:45 and they said it was done and no more leaks. I told 'em I couldn't get down there to pick it up and I would be in today (Friday) to get it...

So, I'll find out later today how leak-free it really is...

Damn Dave you just got it back and you broke the poor bike already??????Yeah Steve, what can I say? LOL...

I made it to the shop yesterday. Should be ready this morning. But, I gotta go to work and then have a dentist appointment after...

I'll pick it up tomorrow...

I do love the changes though. That cam made a big difference in the power & sound. :D

Even at low rpm (I've been ridin' it between 2000-3000 rpm) you can feel it.

The speedo cable I bought at the stealer, I told 'em specifically, that I needed one for a 1987 FXRS-SP. Too Damn short!

Story of my life, if I only had another 6-inches...LOL

Just got off the phone with the indy. Told him what was going on, told me get it in there this afternoon and it'll be ready for me in the morning.

Told him it's gonna have to sit in his shop until Thursday... Dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon...
